Issac Metcalf was born 4-11-1780, and d 4-29-1843 in Belmont County, Kirkwood Twp., Ohio.

He married Elizabeth Sheppard.

Issac served in the War of 1812. He was a musician in Daniel Conner's Company of Ohio Militia, First Regiment in DELONG's Command in 1814 from Belmont County, Ohio.

Issac is buried in Salem Methodist Church Cemetery.

Issac and Elizabeth had 9 children, all born in Belmont County, Ohio.
  1. Mary Metcalf b 1802..She married Thomas Frizzell.
  2. Elizabeth b 1804 married James Harrison 1-14-1827.
  3. Rueben b 2-7-1807 married Rebecca Perkins
  4. Issac Jr. b 1-10-1810 married Lydia Mercer 3-17-1831.
  5. Abraham b 10-20-1811 married Nancy Murphy 4-11-1833.
  6. Charity ab 1813 married Thomas Smith 12-30-1830.
  7. Suzanne b 1815 married Nelson Hogue 6-26-1834.
  8. Jacob b 5-22-1820 married Mary Varnum 1843, then married Mary Sutton in 1844.
  9. Lydia b9-9-1822 married Cornelius Davis.

As you can see my roots run deep in Belmont County.
