            NEWCOMERSTOWN — Mary E. Hunt, 101, a resident of the
            Riverside Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center,
            Newcomerstown, formerly of South College Street,
            Newcomerstown, died Friday (Nov. 3, 2000) at the center.

            Newcomerstown.

                            ELIZABETH A. WILLIAMS

                                    1935-2000

            MANSFIELD — Elizabeth Ann Williams, 64, of Kenosha, Wis., died
            Tuesday (Oct. 31, 2000) at Kenosha Hospital and Medical Center.

            She was born Dec. 12, 1935, in Old Washington, daughter of the
            late James and Edna (Reed) Laughman.

            Mrs. Williams attended Columbus Deaf School. She had relocated
            to Kenosha, Wis., from Galion in 1998 to live with her son. She was
            a homemaker.

            She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Lee Williams,
            on Jan. 6, 2000. They were married Dec. 15, 1956, in Cambridge.
            A sister, Mary Sigman, also preceded her in death.

            She leaves a son, Larry of Kenosha; two daughters, Lynn Needels
            of Centerville, Iowa, and Cheryl Chulew of Escanaba, Mich.; two
            brothers, Jim Laughman of Cleveland and John Laughman of
            Cambridge; two sisters, Kathryn Newhart of Akron and Helen Hugo
            of Old Washington; nine grandchildren.

            Friends may call at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Geiger-Herlihy Funeral
            Home, Mansfield, with services to follow at 10:30 a.m.

            Burial will be in Mansfield Cemetery.

                      CARRIE R. GALLAGHER SERVICES

                                    1914-2000

            Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Thorn-Black Funeral Home,
            Cambridge, for Carrie R. Gallagher, 85, formerly of Cambridge,
            who died Wednesday (Nov. 1, 2000) at The Beckett House, New
            Concord, where she had been a resident since March of this year.

            Evangelists Richard Harris and Franklin Love will officiate. Burial
            will be in Guernsey Memory Gardens.

            Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home, and
            from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday, with services to follow.

            She was born Dec. 4, 1914, in Whigville, daughter of the late Jesse
            and Sarah (DePew) Graham.

            Mrs. Gallagher was a homemaker and a longtime member of the
            New Concord Church of Christ. She enjoyed quilting.

            She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Gallagher,
            on April 9, 1979. They were married June 9, 1937. Also deceased
            are two brothers, Forrest Graham and Virgil Graham; a sister,
            Lillian “Grace” Graham.

            She leaves two sons, Dallas (Marilyn) Gallagher of Lisbon and Jerry
            (Rose Mary) Gallagher of Kennonsburg; seven grandchildren; six
            great-grandchildren; two nephews; and a close friend, Barbara
            Pittman of New Concord.

            SUMMERFIELD — Jonathan James Preston, infant son of Rusty
            Preston, Lower Salem, and Crystal Carpenter of Lewisville, died at
            birth on Tuesday (Oct. 31, 2000) at Southeastern Ohio Regional
            Medical Center, Cambridge.

            He was preceded in death by great-grandparents, Edna Taylor and
            Paul and Marie Dickerson.

            He is survived by his paternal grandmother, Paula Preston of Lower
            Salem; maternal grandparents, Melissa Carpenter of Lewisville and
            Richard Carpenter of Quaker City; great-grandparents, James
            Taylor of Lower Salem and Richard and Patricia Carpenter of
            Quaker City; great-great-grandmother, Hazel Morford of Hebron;
            several aunts, uncles, great aunts and uncles.

            Graveside services and burial will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Calais
            Cemetery, Calais.

            Brubach-Watters Funeral Home, Summerfield, is handling the
            arrangements.

                                    1922-2000

            BETHESDA — Pearl Agnes Malyerck McGrew, 78, of Bethesda,
            died Wednesday (Nov. 1, 2000) at Crestview Nursing Home, St.
            Clairsville.

            She was born Jan. 29, 1922, in Duncanwood, daughter of the late
            John and Mary (Shaner) Pastva.

            Mrs. McGrew was a homemaker and a Methodist by faith.

            She was preceded in death by her first husband, John Malyerck;
            her second husband, Jim McGrew; three brothers, Ellis, James and
            Milan Pastva; a step-brother, George Kulp; and a sister, Mary
            Palumbo.

            She leaves three daughters, Mary Owens, Janie Emory and Bonnie
            Anderson, all of Bethesda; two brothers, Tom Pastva of Ravenna
            and Norman Pastva of Bethesda; eight grandchildren; and 11
            great-grandchildren.

            Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Kelly-Kemp-Braido
            Funeral Home, Bethesda, where services will be 10 a.m. Saturday.
            The Rev. Edward Emory will officiate.

            Burial will be in Unity Cemetery, New Athens.

                                    1935-2000

            BARNESVILLE — Grace Juanita Hamilton, 65, of Barnesville, died
            Thursday (Nov. 2, 2000) at her home.

            She was born April 5, 1935, in Belmont County, daughter of the late
            Gilbert and Mary (Tiery) Rogers.

            Mrs. Hamilton was a former employee of Smith Lumber Co.,
            Barnesville, and retired from John Brown State Farm Insurance
            office, St. Clairsville.

            She was a member of Morristown First Christian Church,
            Morristown.

            She was preceded in death by two brothers, Alvin and Floyd
            Rogers.

            She leaves her step-mother, Lucille Rogers of Barnesville; her
            husband, Jack Hamilton; a daughter, Mrs. Hughey (Vicki) Stephen
            of Barnesville; two nephews, whom resided with her, Mike and Rick
            Hamilton, both of Barnesville; three grandchildren; two sisters,
            Sharon Bean of Cambridge and Frances Leasure of Elyria; four
            brothers, Melvin Rogers of Elyria, Marvin Rogers of Pennsylvania,
            Arthur Rogers of Senecaville and Jay Rogers of Belmont.

            Thursday (Nov. 2, 2000) at his home.

                                    1928-2000

            BETHESDA — Dale Lloyd Cain, 72, of Belmont, died Thursday
            (Nov. 2, 2000) at Wheeling Hospital, Wheeling, W.Va.

            He was born Sept. 25, 1928, in Belmont, son of the late Friend
            Lloyd and Elizabeth (Hollingsworth) Cain.

            Mr. Cain was a retired farmer. He was a member of Belmont
            Church of Christ and Belmont County Farm Bureau.

            He was preceded in death by a sister, Alice Lee Hubbs.

            He leaves his wife, Glenna (White) Cain; a daughter, Linda Myers
            of Wheeling, W.Va.; four sons, Darryl Cain of Moline, Ill., Donald
            Cain of Pickerington, and Daniel and David Cain, both of Fairfax,
            Va.; four grandchildren.

                               RUTH ANN EVANS

                                    1928-2000

            Ruth Ann Evans, 72, of Cambridge, died Thursday (Nov. 2, 2000) at
            her home.

            She was born July 2, 1928, in Barnesville, daughter of the late
            Herbert and Bertha Marie (Pickens) Gallagher.

            Mrs. Evans retired from the former Guernsey Memorial Hospital,
            Cambridge, where she had served in the housekeeping
            department. She had also been a volunteer at the hospital for
            several years, and was a Protestant by faith.

            She was preceded in death by a daughter, Cathy Evans; a brother
            and a sister.

            She leaves a daughter, Mrs. Ron (Brenda) Rice of Massillon; three
            sons, Tom (Cynthia) Evans and William Evans, both of Cambridge,
            and Jerry Evans of Zanesville; a sister, Polly Gallagher of Bethesda;
            several grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

            Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday at Bundy-Law
            Funeral Home, Cambridge, with services to follow at 1 p.m. The
            Rev. Jack T. Welch will officiate.

            Burial will be in Crestview Cemetery, Barnesville.
