THELMA JUNE BAKER

            NEWCOMERSTOWN — Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at
            Ourant Funeral Home, Newcomerstown, for Thelma June (Heston)
            Baker, 99, a resident of Riverside Manor Nursing and
            Rehabilitation Center, Newcomerstown, formerly of Baker Road,
            Port Washington (Glasgow), who died Saturday (Nov. 25, 2000) at
            Coshocton County Memorial Hospital.

            The Rev. Garry Marlatt will officiate. Burial will be in Union
            Cemetery, Port Washington.

            Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral
            home.

            She was born June 11, 1901, in Roneyspoint, W.Va., daughter of
            the late Henderson and Mary Louise (Blake) Heston.

            Mrs. Baker was a homemaker for all her life and assisted her
            husband with their family farm.

            She was an employee of the former glove factory in Uhrichsville and
            was a produce picker for Judy Fields, Newcomerstown. She was a
            Methodist by faith.

            She was preceded in death by her husband, William C. Baker, who
            died Sept. 27, 1954. They were married June 3, 1925. Also
            deceased are a son, Arthur Baker; a daughter, Hazel Irene Davies;
            several brothers and sisters, including Beulah Rebecca Porter,
            Naomi Pernella Heston, Orella May Thornton, Ellsworth John
            Heston, Hazel Vera Heston, Grace Milldreth Ruth and Eugene
            Henderson Heston.

            She leaves two sisters, Margaret Virginia Heston of Port
            Washington and Mrs. James “Harry” (“Millie” Alma) Millosena Gibb
            of Dover; a sister-in-law, Kathleen McCune Heston of
            Newcomerstown; a daughter-in-law, Shirley Reid Baker-Ricklic and
            her husband, Julius Ricklic of New Philadelphia; 10 grandchildren;
            eight great-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; a
            great-great-grandson; several nieces and nephews.

                                 CLIFF BREWER

                                    1959-2000

            CADIZ — Cliff Brewer, 41, of Parlette, died Saturday (Nov. 25,
            2000) at Harrison Community Hospital, Cadiz.

            He was born Dec. 3, 1959, in Dennison, son of Margaret Vargo
            Brewer Klinesmith of Parlette and the late Linville Kelly Brewer.

            Mr. Brewer was manager at Sally Buffalo Park, Cadiz. He was
            Harrison County representative to ABATE, Region 1. He was a
            member of Eagles Aerie 2162 of Cadiz, Hopedale American
            Legion and Sons of the Legion. He was a member of the Sally
            Buffalo Park board.

            He leaves his wife, Darla (LaCross) Brewer; a son, Clifton John
            Brewer of the home; his step-father, Robert Fedder of Parlette; a
            brother, Curt (Jennifer) Klinesmith of Mt. Hope, N.C.; four sisters,
            Mrs. Ray (JoAnn) Baker and Mrs. Chuck (Linda) Maffitt, both of
            Parlette, Mrs. Leonard (Karen) Cooper of Hopedale and Mrs. Jack
            (Rose) Schoolcraft of Carrollton.

            Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at
            Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, Cadiz.

            Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Presbyterian Church of
            Cadiz with the Rev. William Hudson officiating.

            Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Hopedale.

            Memorial contributions may be made to ABATE, Region 1, or the
            American Heart Association.

                               JOHN H. DANIELS

                                    1927-2000

            BARNESVILLE — John H. Daniels, 73, of Barnesville, died Sunday
            (Nov. 26, 2000) at Barnesville Hospital.

            He was born July 28, 1927, in Barnesville, son of the late Harry and
            Holdred (Dewar) Daniels.

            Mr. Daniels was a retired estimator for the former Smith Lumber
            Co. of Barnesville and was a former building contractor. He retired
            as a union carpenter for Mansfield Local 735 and Wheeling Local
            3.

            He was the owner of a golf club repair shop at his home and was an
            avid golfer.

            He was past master of Friendship Masonic Lodge 89 of Barnesville
            and a member of Scottish Rite of Cambridge. He was past
            commander, trustee and treasurer of Barnesville American Legion
            Post 168. He was a member of Barnesville VFW Post 2792.

            He was a U.S. Navy veteran, having served in World War II.

            He was preceded in death by a sister, Mrs. Pete (Martha) Clear.

            He leaves his wife, Elaine Murphy Martin Daniels; three daughters,
            Polly G. Collins of Marietta, Mrs. Donald (Sue) Bissell of
            Portsmouth and S. Jean Daniels of Barnesville; a son, John Russell
            (Jax) Daniels of Seattle, Wash.; a step-son, Dennis L. (Betty) Martin
            of Barnesville; seven grandchildren; two step-granddaughters; two
            step-great-granddaughters; a sister, Virginia Wise of Newark; a
            brother, Paul D. Daniels of Barnesville.

            Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at
            Kelly-Kemp-Braido Funeral Home, Barnesville, where services will
            be 11 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Gene Miller officiating.
            Friendship Masonic Lodge services will be 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at
            the funeral home.

            Burial will be in Crestview Cemetery, Barnesville. Full military
            graveside services will be conducted by Belmont County Council
            American Legion.

            Memorial contributions may be made to Barnesville Hospital or the
            Barnesville Hutton Memorial Library.

                                  ANNE T. KIDD

                                    1923-2000

            CADIZ — Anne T. Kidd, 77, of Cadiz, died Saturday (Nov. 25,
            2000) at Harrison Community Hospital, Cadiz.

            She was born Jan. 27, 1923, in Wheeling Township, Belmont
            County, daughter of the late John and Mary (Vdofka) Zahora.

            Mrs. Kidd retired from Cadiz Hardware, where she served as a
            clerk. She was a member of St. Teresa Catholic Church, Cadiz,
            and American Legion Auxiliary Post 666, Maynard.

            She was preceded in death by her husband, Willard Kidd; three
            brothers, Paul, Frank and Tony; a sister, Mary Josefcyzk; and an
            infant sister.

            She leaves three sons, Leonard Kidd of Carrollton, Kevin Kidd of
            Bethesda and Richard Kidd of Dickson, Tenn.; a daughter, Barbara
            McCombs of Cadiz; 15 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren;
            a sister, Cecelia Cline of Maynard.

            No calling hours will be observed.

            Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Tuesday at St.
            Teresa Catholic Church, Cadiz, with the Rev. Fr. Thomas Vennitti
            serving as celebrant.

            Burial will be in Longview Cemetery, New Athens.

            Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, Cadiz, is handling the arrangements.

            Memorial contributions may be made to St. Teresa Catholic
            Church, 143 E. South St., Cadiz, OH 43907.

                                 MARTHA MIZER

                                    1908-2000

            CADIZ — Martha Goodwin Mizer, 91, of Cadiz, died Sunday (Nov.
            26, 2000) at Trinity Medical Center West, Steubenville.

            She was born Dec. 6, 1908, in Archer Township, Harrison County,
            daughter of the late Anderson R. and Ginevra (Miller) Heavilin.

            Mrs. Mizer retired in 1973 from BancOhio National Bank, Cadiz,
            after 46 years of service.

            She was a member of Scott United Methodist Church, Cadiz
            Women’s Club, Harrison County Historical Society, Mt. Hope
            Grange, Moravian Trail Chapter, DAR and Ohioana Library
            Association.

            She retired in 1996 after 51 years as the unit treasurer of The
            Salvation Army.

            She was preceded in death by her first husband, Harvey G.
            Goodwin; her second husband, Dennis Mizer; and a step-son, H.
            Vernon Goodwin.

            She leaves a sister, Mrs. John T. (Mary) Lewis of New Lexington; a
            niece, Toni Ransbotton of Zanesville; a nephew, Thomas A. Lewis
            of Zanesville; step-children, Mrs. Roland (Charlotte) Barger of
            Missoula, Mont., Mrs. Russell (Denise) Miller of Republic, Mrs.
            Alfred (Marian) DeWitt of Big Prairie and Ronald Mizer of
            Columbus.

            Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Scott United
            Methodist Church, Cadiz, where services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday
            with the Rev. Robert Hooker officiating. DAR will have services at
            6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the church.

            Burial will be in Cadiz Union Cemetery.
