THELMA JUNE BAKER

            NEWCOMERSTOWN — Thelma June (Heston) Baker, 99, a
            resident of Riverside Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center,
            Newcomerstown, formerly of Baker Road, Port Washington
            (Glasgow), died Saturday (Nov. 25, 2000) at Coshocton County
            Memorial Hospital.

            Arrangements are pending at Ourant Funeral Home,
            Newcomerstown.

                              LOLA M. TAWROSZA

                                    1919-2000

            CADIZ — Lola M. Tawrosza, 81, of Cadiz, died Friday (Nov. 24,
            2000) at Harrison Community Hospital, Cadiz.

            She was born Jan. 9, 1919, in Follansbee, W.Va., daughter of the
            late William H. and Sarah Blanche (Roe) Deavers.

            Mrs. Tawrosza was preceded in death by her husband, John
            Tawrosza Sr.; a son, William; a grandson, David Kaurich; a brother,
            Earl Deavers; two infant daughters, Donna Mae and Karen Ann.

            She leaves four daughters, Fonda Leach of Portland, Tenn., Sonya
            Kaurich of Beloit, Sharon Pena of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. and Lola
            Skinner of Cadiz; a son, John Tawrosza Jr. of Columbus; 14
            grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; seven
            great-great-grandchildren; a brother, William Deavers; and a sister,
            Virginia Hornsby.

            Friends may call from noon to 2 p.m. today at Clark-Kirkland
            Funeral Home, with services to follow at 2 p.m.

            Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Hopedale.

                               HOMER G. CHEFFY

                                    1903-2000

            BARNESVILLE — Homer G. Cheffy, 97, of Barnesville, died Friday
            (Nov. 24, 2000) at his home.

            He was born Oct. 20, 1903, in Mt. Pleasant, son of the late Homer
            G. and Mary Jane (Barkhurst) Cheffy.

            Mr. Cheffy was retired vice president and cashier of the First
            National Bank of Barnesville. He served as business manager for
            Barnesville Medical Center from 1976-1984.

            He was a member of First United Methodist Church and Friendship
            Lodge 89 F&AM of Barnesville.

            He was a 32nd degree Mason, a member of Aladdin Temple and
            BE1-Mon Osiris Shrine. He was a charter member of Elks Lodge
            1699, Barnesville and was active in many community organizations
            including village council and the park board.

            He was inducted into the Barnesville Area Education Foundation
            Hall of Fame in 1999.

            He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Esther (Hasbrouck)
            Cheffy; three brothers, Windsor, George and William Cheffy; three
            sisters, Helen Lovejoy, Miriam Cheffy and Lucy Ruhl.

            He leaves two sons, Frederick H. Cheffy of Severna Park, Md. and
            John H. Cheffy of Barnesville; a daughter, Phoebe Deyo Linnabary
            of Knoxville, Tenn.; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.

            Friends may call from noon to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at
            Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, Barnesville, where
            services will be 11 a.m. Monday, with the Rev. David McKinnon
            officiating. BPOE Lodge 1699 will have services at 5:30 p.m. and
            Friendship Lodge 89 F&AM will have services at 5:45 p.m., both
            today at the funeral home.

            Burial will be in Southern Cemetery, Barnesville.

            Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.

                             HARLEY E. WARRICK

                                    1924-2000

            BETHESDA — Harley E. Warrick, 76, of Belmont, died Friday
            (Nov. 24, 2000) at Wheeling Hospital, Wheeling, W.Va.

            He was born Oct. 5, 1924, in Speidel, son of the late Guy and
            Bertha Warrick.

            Mr. Warrick was a retired barn painter who traveled the eastern
            United States painting Mail Pouch barns for 55 years.

            He was a Methodist by faith and a U.S. Army veteran, having
            served in the 99th Infantry Division during World War II.

            He was preceded in death by a sister, Ethel Warrick; a brother,
            Harold Warrick.

            He leaves his wife, Louise Calvarese Warrick; two daughters, Mrs.
            Fred (Lena) Williams of Cincinnati and Deborah Stevens of
            Belmont; two sons, Danny Warrick of Texas and Roger Warrick of
            Cincinnati; a grandson; two sisters, Faye DeVine of Barnesville and
            Edith Tyson of Canton.

            Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Belmont United
            Methodist Church, with Pastor Vicky Kelley officiating.

            Memorial contributions may be made to Belmont United Methodist
            Church, 129 West Market St., Belmont, OH.

            Kelly-Kemp-Braido Funeral Home, Bethesda, is handling the
            arrangements.

                                LORNA J. COUTS

                                    1930-2000

            NEWCOMERSTOWN — Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at
            Ourant Funeral Home, Newcomerstown, for Lorna J. Couts, 69, of
            Buckhorn Village, formerly of East Canal Street, Newcomerstown,
            who died Wednesday (Nov. 22, 2000) in the emergency room at
            Union Hospital, Dover.

            Pastor William C. Haggis II will officiate. Burial will be in Plainfield
            Cemetery, Coshocton County.

            Friends may call from 2 to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.

            She was born Dec. 19, 1930, in Plainfield, daughter of the late
            Charles E. and Ethel F. (Amore) Angle.

            Mrs. Couts was a 1948 graduate of Newcomerstown High School
            and was a homemaker for all her adult life.

            She was a former secretary for the late Rev. William Calvert at St.
            Paul Lutheran Church, Newcomerstown, for 11 years.

            She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Newcomerstown,
            where she served as an Elder, a session member and was a
            member of the Women’s Patricia Circle and Presbyterian
            Women’s Organization at the church. She was a member of the
            Women’s Bingo Club and enjoyed sewing and playing piano.

            She was preceded in death by a grandson, Kevin Couts; a
            granddaughter, Kelly Couts; and a sister, Lorena Hart.

            She leaves three sons, James (Chris) Couts of Lower Burrell, Pa.,
            Curtis (Kathy) Couts of Gnadenhutten and David (Rose) Couts of
            Newcomerstown; two daughters, Mrs. Michael (Caroline) Tipple Sr.
            and Mrs. David (Kerry) Addy, both of Newcomerstown; 10
            grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a
            sister, Dorothy Ball of Cadiz, Ky.

            Memorial contributions may be made to the Rebuilding Fund, St.
            Paul Lutheran Church, 108 South River St., Newcomerstown, or the
            Arthritis Foundation.

                             KENNETH E. WINTERS

                                    1933-2000

            BARNESVILLE — Kenneth E. Winters, 67, of Barnesville, died
            Friday (Nov. 24, 2000) at his winter home in Port Richey, Fla.

            He was born april 13, 1933, in Fairview, son of the late Erwin and
            Nellie (Smith) Winters.

            Mr. Winters retired from Alltel Phone Co., where he served as a
            engineering supervisor.

            He was a member of the Fairview United Methodist Church,
            Kirkwood Masonic Lodge 446, Scottish Rite of Cambridge and the
            Western Square Dancers Club.

            He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in the Signal Corp.

            He was preceded in death by a brother, Herbert.

            He leaves his wife, Betty VanScyoc; two sons, Gary of Hendrysburg
            and Chris of Altoona, Pa.; a daughter, Barbara Winters of
            Lexington, Ky.; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; four
            brothers, Craig of Quaker City, Earl of Florida, Derbert and Paul,
            both of Akron.

            Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at
            Kelly-Kemp-Braido funeral Home, Barnesville, where services will
            be 11 a.m. Thursday. Kirkwood Lodge will have Masonic services
            at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

            Burial will be in Hope Cemetery, Hendrysburg.
