Lorena Ackerman

            SENECAVILLE — Lorena Ackerman, 92, a resident of Wesley
            Glen Nursing Home, Columbus,

            for the past four years, formerly of Senecaville, died Saturday (Nov.
            11, 2000) at the nursing

            home.

            She was born Dec. 16, 1907, in Senecaville, daughter of the late
            Charles and Suzanna (Rogers)

            Steele.

            Mrs. Ackerman was a clerk at Huntington Bank and a member of
            Summit Street Methodist

            Church, Columbus.

            She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Ackerman, in
            1956. They were married Jan. 5,

            1932. Also deceased are four sisters.

            She leaves a son, David (Susan) Ackerman of Maineville; a
            daughter, Mrs. Charles (Carol) Parker

            of Columbus; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

            No calling hours will be observed.

            Graveside services and burial will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at
            Senecaville Cemetery, Senecaville, with

            the Rev. Ralph Summer officiating.

            Meek-Black Funeral Home, Senecaville, is handling the
            arrangements.

                                   Kentina Fair

            Kentina L. (Davis) Fair, 23, of Cambridge, died Saturday (Nov. 11,
            2000) at her home.

            She was born in Cambridge, daughter of Donna Rodriquez of
            Cambridge, and Kenneth L. Davis

            of Columbus.

            Ms. Fair worked at the Cardiac Corporation, Cambridge and was a
            member of the Shafer Chapel

            AME. She loved to sing.

            She was preceded in death by a brother, Michael, and her
            grandmother, Louise Davis.

            She leaves a son, Kenrel L. Davis of the home; a brother, Scott
            Knight of Cambridge; a sister,

            Ronda Tom of Columbus; her grandmother, Pearl Burt of
            Cambridge; several aunts, uncles,

            nieces, nephews and cousins.

            Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Thorn-Black Funeral
            Home, Cambridge, where

            services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday.

                               William McConkey

            William Edward McConkey, 79, of Byesville, died Saturday (Nov.
            11, 2000) at Southeastern

            Ohio Regional Medical Center, Cambridge.

            He was born Aug. 1, 1921, in Cambridge, son of the late Thomas
            “Ed” and Mary Maude

            (McKim) McConkey.

            Mr. McConkey was a payroll clerk at a cement company. He was a
            life member of the DAV and

            The Salvation Army.

            He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in World War II in the
            45th Signal Corps. He was a

            car enthusiast and loved calligraphy.

            He was preceded in death by three brother; and three sisters.

            He leaves his wife, Sarah Ruth (Milstead) McConkey of Byesville.
            They were married Feb. 23,

            1954. Also surviving are a son, William A. McConkey and Veronica
            Tonnous of Byesville; four

            daughters, Mrs. Ron (Carol Ruth) Skeen and Janis McConkey, both
            of Parkersburg, W.Va.,

            Mrs. Robert (Linda) Doering of La Grange and Mrs. Richard
            (Sandra) Bumgardner of Quaker

            City; a foster daughter, Anetta Huhn of Byesville; five grandchildren,
            Daniel and Emily

            Bumgardner, Heather and Nicholas Skeen, Olivia Tonnous; several
            nieces and nephews.

            Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Scott
            Funeral Home, Cambridge, where

            services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, with Capt. Bob Sears and
            Major Brewer officiating.

            Burial will be in Center Cemetery. Military services will be
            conducted by the Guernsey County

            Veterans Council.
