Dorothy Annabell (Irwin) Lieu services

Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Bundy-Law Funeral Home, Cambridge, for Dorothy Annabell (Irwin) Lieu, 82, formerly of Cambridge, who died Wednesday evening (March 7, 2001) at Westminster-Thurber Health Care Center, Columbus.

The Rev. Dr. Terry Litton will officiate. Burial will be in Northwood Cemetery.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. VFW Post 2901 Ladies Auxiliary will have services at the funeral home.

She was born May 20, 1918, in Cambridge, daughter of the late James S. and Pearl H. (Brown) Irwin.

Mrs. Lieu retired from Ohio Bell Telephone, after 25 years of service as a telephone operator. She worked for 10 years as secretary at her late husband, Dr. John Lieu’s medical office in Columbus.
She attended First United Methodist Church, Cambridge, and was a member of East Broad Street Presbyterian Church, Columbus.

She was a life member of Ohio Bell Pioneers Club and the Cat Welfare Association of Columbus. She was a charter member of the Robert T. Secrest VFW Post 2901 Ladies Auxiliary.

She was a 1936 graduate of Brown High School and a 1938 graduate of Bliss Business College, Columbus.

She was a precious, dedicated sister, and was a very special, wonderful person. She dearly loved children, senior citizens and cats all of her life.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. John Lieu, M.D., on Feb. 14, 1994. They were married Aug. 31, 1974. Also deceased is a sister, Marjorie Irwin Parrish; a nephew, David Hazlett; two brothers-in-law, Charles Parrish and Chester David Hazlett.

She leaves a step-daughter, Gladys Lieu, and a step-son, Jon Lieu, both of Los Angeles, Calif.; two nephews, Glen Sherlock and James W. Hazlett, both of Junction City, Kan.; a sister, Ella (Irwin) Hazlett of Cambridge; two nieces, Mrs. Glen (Marilyn) Sherlock of Scandia, Minn., and Shirley McLaughlin of Soquel, Calif.; eight great-grandnieces and nephews; a great-great-grandniece.

Ronald E. Buckey

CALDWELL — Ronald E. Buckey, 49, of Caldwell, died Thursday (March 8, 2001) at Marietta Memorial Hospital.

He was born May 26, 1951, in Cambridge, son of Jeanette Rayner Buckey Rowlands Friel of Caldwell, and the late Charles Buckey.

Mr. Buckey was a Protestant by faith. He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in the Vietnam War.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Johnny R. Buckey; and his step-father, Rodney Rowlands.

He leaves his step-father, Ronald Friel; a sister, Mrs. Roger (Chery) McElfresh of Caldwell; five brothers, William of Ava, Randy (Pam), Daniel (April), Ricky (Mona) and Tony (Ellen), all of Caldwell; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, Caldwell, where services will be 2 p.m. Sunday with the Rev. William Cain officiating.

Burial will be in Halleys Ridge Cemetery.

Russell “Banjo” Clark

BETHESDA — Russell “Banjo” Clark, 68, of Belmont, died Thursday (March 8, 2001) at Wheeling Hospital, Wheeling, W.Va.

He was born June 25, 1932, in Neffs, son of the late Eugene and Mabel (Mace) Clark.

Mr. Clark worked at the former Y&O Coal Co. and retired from the Ohio Department of Transportation at Morristown. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran, having served in the Korean War.

He was a Protestant by faith.

He leaves his wife, Ada (Williams) Clark; a daughter, Sherry Byers of Flushing; five sons, Ivan Schlernitzauer of St. Clair, Mich., Russell Clark of Belmont, Robert Clark of Bethesda, and Jim and David Clark, both of Columbus; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; six sisters, Mamie Lykins, Credella Shriver, Elizabeth Kelly, Mabel McClurg, Blanche Armstrong and Esther Daily; five brothers, Robert, Charles, Eugene, Elroy and Leroy Clark.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 nd 7 to 9 p.m. today at Kelly-Kemp-Braido Funeral Home, Bethesda, where services will be 11 a.m. Saturday with Bud Burke officiating.

Burial will be in Ebenezer Cemetery, Bethesda.

Edgar M. Yoder

ZANESVILLE — Edgar M. Yoder, 77, of Nashport, died Wednesday (March 7, 2001) at The Ohio State University Hospital, Columbus.

He was born Feb. 26, 1924, in Fairmont City, Pa., son of the late David W. and Ida May (Smith) Yoder.

Mr. Yoder retired in 1986 from Essex Wire Corp. following 25 years of service. He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in Rhineland, ARDENNES, during World War II. He was awarded three Bronze Stars for his service.

He was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline (Lepi) Yoder, on June 16, 1998; and a sister, Mae Truitt.

He leaves four daughters, Mrs. Stanley (Barbara) Pruett of New Albany, Carol Sue Yoder of Columbus, Mrs. Perry (JoAnn) Mitchell of Dresden, and Mrs. John (Sandra Jean) Hill of Zanesville; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; four sisters, Lucille Carlson, Helen Adams and Maretta Smith, all of Pennsylvania, and Joyce Bish of California; a brother, the Rev. Ray Yoder of Pennsylvania; a brother-in-law, Albert Lepi of Dresden; two sisters-in-law; several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at Hillis Funeral Home, Zanesville, where a vigil service will be 3:30 p.m.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Nicholas Catholic Church.

Burial will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Pleasant City Cemetery.

Judith Ann (Woltz) Cornelius

Judith Ann (Woltz) Cornelius, 44, of Cambridge, died Wednesday (March 7, 2001) at her home.

She was born Feb. 26, 1957, in Greenville, daughter of Richard M. and Janet L. (Dershen) Woltz of Cambridge.

Mrs. Cornelius was a former employee of Cambridge Savings Bank, Shegog’s IGA in New Concord, and Zayre. She was a member of Otsego United Methodist Church, where she was a also a member of the choir and youth group worker. She was a member of Hopewell Homemakers and Indian Camp Grange.

She was a 1975 graduate of John Glenn High School, where she was a member of the choir and marching band.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Jennifer “Jenny” Alicia Cornelius; a grandson, Maliki Rohde; paternal grandparents, Richard L. and Mildred O. Woltz; maternal grandparents, Aaron J. and Bertha Dershen; an uncle, Benny Woltz.

She leaves her husband, Samuel “Sam” K. Cornelius of the home, whom she married June 16, 1979; a son, Samuel Allen Cornelius, of the home; a daughter, Kelly A. Cornelius of Mt. Perry; two brothers, Jay (Jean) Woltz and Dale Woltz, both of Cambridge; a sister, Mrs. Ron (Barbara) Walden of Booneville, Miss.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge.

Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Otsego United Methodist Church, with Pastor Larry Lake officiating.

Burial will be in Otsego Cemetery.

Jennifer “Jenny” Alicia Cornelius

Jennifer “Jenny” Alicia Cornelius, 15, of Cambridge, died Wednesday (March 7, 2001) at her home.

She was born June 23, 1985, in Cambridge, daughter of Samuel “Sam” K. Cornelius of the home, and the late Judith Ann (Woltz) Cornelius.

Miss Cornelius was a sophomore at John Glenn High School, where she was a member of the choir, color guard, and was a three-year member of the marching band.

She was a member of Otsego United Methodist Church choir, Guernsey County 4-H, Indian Camp Grange and Bethsego Youth Group.

Jenny loved animals and her church.

She leaves a brother Samuel “Sam” K. Cornelius of the home; a sister, Kelly A. Cornelius of Mt. Perry; maternal grandparents, Richard M. and Janet L. (Dershen) Woltz of Cambridge; paternal grandparents, Floyd H. “Sam” and Evelyn Cornelius of New Concord; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge.

Maliki Aaron Rohde

Maliki Aaron Rohde, three month old son of Mike Rohde and Kelly Cornelius of Mt. Perry, died Wednesday (March 7, 2001) at the home of his grandparents.

He was born Nov. 26, 2000, in Columbus.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Judith Ann (Woltz) Cornelius.

He leaves his maternal grandfather, Samuel “Sam” K. Cornelius of Cambridge; his paternal grandparents, Debby Diane Rohde-Mitton and Ed Wesley Mitton of Mt. Perry; great-grandparents, Richard M. and Janet L. Woltz of Cambridge, Earl and Helen Rohde and Jack and Barbara Kennedy, all of Columbus, and Patricia and Jim Mitton of Thornville.
