John Howard Mathews Services

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Bundy-Law Funeral Home, Cambridge, for John Howard Mathews, 84, of Kimbolton, who died Wednesday (March 21, 2001) at his home.

The Rev. Dr. Herbert Thompson will officate. Burial will be in Guernsey Memory Gardens.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to North Salem Presbyterian Church.

Kenneth R. Paden Services

Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Center United Methodist Church for Kenneth R. Paden, 64, of Cambridge, who died Wednesday (March 21, 2001) at Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center.

The Rev. Denny Nelson will officiate. Burial will be in Center Cemetery.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at Bundy-Law Funeral Home, Cambridge. Masonic services will be 6:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

M. LLoyd Lake

LONDONDERRY — M. Lloyd Lake, 75, of Londonderry and Winter Haven, Fla., died Thursday at Winter Haven Hospital.

He was born Oct. 10, 1925, in Londonderry, son of the late Home C. and Florence T. Arnold Lake.

He was co-owner of the former Croskey-Lake Motor Sales of Cadiz; a member of Londonderry United Methodist Church, Freeport Masonic Lodge 415 F&AM and Scottish Rite Valley of Cambridge. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Warren Lake.

He leaves his wife, Helen Wilson Lake, whom he married June 28, 1947; a daughter, Mrs. Jim (Lu Ann) Hurley of Hilliard; three sons, Larry (Debra) Lake of Hilliard, Terry (Linda) Lake and Mark (Patricia) Lake, all of Londonderry; two sisters, Mildred and Marie Lake of Londonderry; 10 grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and four step-great-grandchildren.

Arrangements are incomplete at Bond Funeral Home, Londonderry.

Dora E. Langsdorf

SARDIS — Dora E. Langsdorf, 83, of New Matamoras, died Wednesday (March 21, 2001) in the Monroe County Care Center.

She was born Oct. 23, 1917, in Fly, daughter of the late Charles and Rebecca Shook Minger.

She was a member of Gravel Hill Baptist Church in Fly.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Langsdorf; six sisters, Nora Evans, Mazie Dimit, Burles Williamson, Rosie Minger, Dorothy Ludoph and Velma Ludolph; two brothers, Charles and Clarence Minger; and a grandson, Darrell Langsdorf.

She leaves six sons, Ronald, Steve and Tom, all of Sardis, David of Fly and Sam of Cambridge; three brothers, Dean Minger of Alliance, Glen Minger of Antioch and Donald Minger of Brownsville; a sister, Bessie Beaver of Ashland; 15 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Friends and family may call 2 to 9 p.m. Friday at Rush Runeral Home in Sardis and Saturday from noon until 2 p.m. services at Gravel Hill Baptist Church. Chuck Ferrell and Tom Gribble will officiate services.

Burial will be in Gravel Hill Cemetery.

Florence G. Bippus

LANCASTER — Florence Geraldine (Turner) Bippus, 86, of Gaffney, S.C., formerly of Lancaster, died Wednesday (March 21, 2001) at Upstate Caroline Medical Center.

She was a member of Grace United Church of Christ and Eastern Star in Munhall, Pa.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl A. Bippus; and parents, Christopher and Josephine Turner.

She leaves two daughters, Mrs. Stephen (Virginia) Conrath of Gaffney, S.C., and Mrs. Richard (Bonita) Maynard of Livingston, Texas; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Friends and family may call 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Halteman-Fett & Dyer Funeral Home, Lancaster.

Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Maple Grove Cemetery in Lancaster with the Rev. Robert C. Tussing officiating.

Lillian L. Gordnier

RICHMOND, Ind. — Lillian L. Gordnier, 81, of Richmond, Ind., died Thursday (March 22, 2001) at Cherish Nursing Center.

She was born Nov. 14, 1919, in Holloway, Ohio, daughter of the late William E. and Anna L. Kennedy Grimes.

She was a former lab technician at Henry County Hospital. She graduated in 1937 from Holloway High School and was a 1946 graduate of Brown’s Lab Tech School in Columbus. She was a member of Chester Heights United Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, William H. Gordnier, who died Jan. 8, 2001; and two sisters, Kathryn Brimhall and Eileen Talbert.

She leaves a son, Shelley Gordnier of Richmond; a daughter, Lynn Gordnier-Resor of Freeport; five grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends and family may call 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday at Doan & Mills Funeral Home in Richmond. There will be no public service.
