Eleanor HROMYAK

            Word has been received of the death of Eleanor (Gust) Hromyak,
            84, of Seminole, Fla., who died Sunday (Nov. 19, 2000).

            Mrs. Hromyak moved to Nokomis, Fla., in 1964 from Byesville,
            where she had attended Byesville schools and worked at Ecko
            Housewares. She had also worked at Cambridge Glass Co..

            She was a member of St. Justin Martyr Catholic Church, Largo, Fla.

            She was preceded in death by her husband, John; four brothers,
            Joseph, William, John and Walter.

            She leaves a daughter, Patricia Morris of Seminole; four
            grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a
            great-great-grandchild.

            E. James Reese Funeral Home and Crematory, Seminole, handled
            the arrangements.

                               M. Hildred Wheeler

            BARNESVILLE — M. Hildred Wheeler, 94, of Barnesville, died
            Monday (Dec. 4, 2000) at Barnesville Health Care Center.

            She was born Dec. 21, 1905, in Hunter, daughter of the late
            Charles and Sarah (Millison) Wheeler.

            Ms. Wheeler retired from Hansley Mills, Barnesville, where she had
            served as a seamstress. She was a Methodist by faith.

            She was preceded in death by two sisters, Grace L. Boniphant and
            Gladys M. Edwards.

            She leaves a nephew, Vernon Boniphant of Canton; and a niece,
            Shirley Bilyeu of Woodsfield.

            There will be no calling hours observed.

            Services will be at the convenience of the family.

            Burial will be in Northern Cemetery, Barnesville.

            Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, Barnesville, is handling
            the arrangements.

            Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Research or
            Hospice of Guernsey, P.O. Box 1165, 9711 East Pike, Cambridge,
            OH 43725.

            Kathleen Betts, 79, of Cambridge, died Monday (Dec. 4, 2000) at
            her home.

            Arrangements are pending at Bundy-Law Funeral Home,
            Cambridge.

                                Philip Henry Rice

            Phillip Henry Rice, 48, of Cambridge, died Monday (Dec. 4, 2000)
            in the emergency room at Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical
            Center.

            Arrangements are pending at Scott Funeral Home, Cambridge.

                                  Beulah I. Sall

            BARNESVILLE — Beulah I. Sall, 77, of Gahanna, formerly of the
            Barnesville area, died Sunday (Dec. 3, 2000) at Mt. Carmel East
            Hospital, Columbus.

            She was born Aug. 30, 1923, in Boston, daughter of the late Pearl
            and Mary (Stephens) Swallie.

            Mrs. Sall was a homemaker and member of Ladies Auxiliary of
            VFW Post 2792, Barnesville.

            She was a Catholic by faith.

            She was preceded in death by her husband, John J. Sall, who died
            Aug. 26, 1979.

            She leaves two daughters, Jo Ann Williams and Tina Maria Miller,
            both of Gahanna; two brothers, Rodney Swallie of Woodsfield and
            George Swallie of Boston; a sister, Dorothy Copeland of
            Barnesville; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a very
            close friend, James Benda of Gahanna.

            Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at
            Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, Barnesville, where
            services will be 1 p.m. Thursday.

            Burial will be in Crestview Cemetery, Barnesville.

                                Robert Whitacre

            BETHESDA — Robert Wayne Whitacre, 61, of Newton Falls, died
            Sunday (Dec. 3, 2000) at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Warren.

            He was born Feb. 27, 1939, in Bethesda, son of the late Mansel
            and Waive (Blake) Whitacre Sr.

            Mr. Whitacre was a member of McDonald First Baptist Church,
            McDonald.

            He was preceded in death by a brother, Fred Whitacre.

            He leaves two sisters, Linda Whitacre and Deborah Fleming, both
            of Niles; four brothers, David Whitacre of Niles, Mansel Whitacre Jr.
            of Wheeling, W.Va., Kenneth Whitacre of Steubenville and David
            Fussell of Louisville.

            Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at
            Kelly-Kemp-Braido Funeral Home, Bethesda, with services to
            follow at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Tim Snyder will officiate.

            Burial will be in Crestview Cemetery, Barnesville.

                                Clyde W. Wharton

            CALDWELL — Clyde W. Wharton, 87, of Caldwell, died Monday
            (Dec. 4, 2000) at Summit Acres Nursing Home, Caldwell.

            Arrangements are pending at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home,
            Caldwell.
