Edith Margaret Finley, 76, of Zanesville, died Sat (Dec. 2, 2000) at her home.

            She was born Oct. 22, 1924, in Cambridge, daughter of the late
            Forest and Hazel (Stillions) Watson.

            Mrs. Finley was a Baptist by faith and was a former employee of the
            former Central Drug Store, Cambridge.

            She was an avid gardener and reader and loved her family.

            She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Finley, who
            died Dec. 17, 1981; a sister; two brothers; and a granddaughter.

            She leaves a daughter, Judith McManus Alveraz of Sacramento,
            Calif.; a son, Jay McManus of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; eight
            grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; several nieces and
            nephews; a brother, Robert Watson of Zanesville; and a sister,
            Bernice Daugherty of Newcomerstown.

            Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Scott
            Funeral Home, Cambridge, where services will be 11 a.m.
            Tuesday, with the Rev. Mark Slay officiating.

            Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Byesville.

                              Marshall O. Edwards

                                    1933-2000

            NEW CONCORD — Marshall O. Edwards, 67, of Cambridge, died
            Friday (Dec. 1, 2000) at V.A. Medical Center, Brecksville.

            He was born June 1, 1933, in Newton County, Miss., son of the late
            Earnest and Mary (Barnes) Edwards.

            Mr. Edwards farmed, did custom farm work and managed his own
            small excavating business. He had worked for a few years for
            Westland Township.

            He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran.

            He was preceded in death by three sisters, Dorothy Shepherd,
            Louise Randall and Nellie Gibson; two brothers, Joe Edwards and
            J.E. Edwards.

            He leaves his wife, Martha L. (Dunbar) Edwards. They were
            married in 1956. Also surviving is a daughter, Ann Edwards, of the
            home; several nieces and nephews.

            Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Mock-Miller
            Funeral Home, New Concord.

            Graveside services and burial will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Zion
            Cemetery, Claysville Road, with the Rev. Robert Merritt officiating.

                              Evelyn Lucille Hamm

                                    1940-2000

            NEW CONCORD — Evelyn Lucille Hamm, 72, of New Concord,
            died Saturday (Dec. 2, 2000) at The Beckett House, New Concord.

            She was born Dec. 11, 1927, in Bristol, Tenn., daughter of the late
            James E. and Janette (Sproles) Cross.

            Mrs. Hamm was a former dental office receptionist and had
            formerly resided in Upland, Calif.

            She was preceded in death by a daughter, Susan Bennett.

            She leaves three sons, Cary Bennett of New Concord, Lance
            Bennett of Upland, Calif., and Miles Bennett of Livermore, Calif.; a
            sister, Betty Kolonis of Victorville, Calif.; a brother, Jack Cross of
            Bristol, Tenn.; and three grandchildren.

            Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Oak Park Cemetery,
            Claremont, Calif.

            Association.

                               Dwight I. Edenburn

                                    1924-2000

            NEWCOMERSTOWN — Dwight I. Edenburn, 76, of New
            Philadelphia, died Friday (Dec. 1, 2000).

            He was born Jan. 19, 1924, in Birmingham, Guernsey, County, son
            of the late Earl A. and Linnie M. (McNeeley) Edenburn.

            Mr. Edenburn was a 1940 graduate of the former Madison High
            School in Guernsey County. He was a retired truck driver, having
            driven trucks for more than 40 years for the Tuscarawas County
            Farm Bureau, Baker Hi-Way Express and Strawn’s.

            Following his retirement from trucking, he worked as a security
            guard for the Gradall Co. of New Philadelphia for a few years.

            He was a Methodist by faith and enjoyed bowling and hunting.

            He was preceded in death by a sister, Marjorie E. Myers; and a
            step-son, Larry L. Beighley.

            He leaves his wife, Esther Eckelberry Beighley Addy Edenburn of
            New Philadelphia. They were married April 12, 1980. He also
            leaves four step-children, Roger E. Beighley of Coshocton, Mrs.
            Ralph (Virginia L.) King of Lady Lake, Fla., Bernie R. (Deniese R.)
            Beighley and Mildred J. “Millie” Popadak, all of Lebanon; eight
            step-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; a niece,
            nephew, several great-nieces and nephews; step-great-nieces and
            nephews.

            Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Ourant Funeral Home,
            Newcomerstown, and from 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday, with services to
            follow at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Ralph G. Hollingsworth officiating.

            Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Port Washington.

            CALDWELL — Jason Lee Davis, 22, of Barnesville, died Thursday
            (Nov. 30, 2000) at The Ohio State University Hospital, Columbus.

            He was born Nov. 4, 1978, in Cambridge, son of Richard Davis of
            Dexter City, and Sharon Berry Davis of Barnesville.

            Jason was a member of Mt. Zion Lutheran Church, Pleasant City.

            He leaves two brothers, Joshua Davis of Barnesville and
            Christopher Davis of Dexter City; a step-brother, Cody Davis;
            step-mother, Tressa Davis of Dexter City; maternal grandparents,
            Don and Marybelle Berry of Caldwell; paternal grandparents, Melvin
            and Betty Davis of Caldwell; great-grandmother, Mildred Rossiter
            of East Union; great-grandfather, Herman Gordon Sr. of Caldwell;
            several nieces, nephews and cousins.
