Dora Clark

NEW CONCORD — Dora Leo Clark, 97, of Norwich, died Tuesday (Dec. 19, 2000) at his home.

Arrangements are pending at Mock-Miller Funeral Home, New Concord.

Irene Little

NEWCOMERSTOWN — Irene Little, 92, of Newcomerstown, died Monday (Dec. 18, 2000) at Union Hospital, Dover.

She was born June 12, 1908, in Muskingum County, daughter of the late Harry C. and Grace (Saffle) Matchett.

Mrs. Little was a 1926 graduate of Coshocton High School.

She was ! a homemaker, and was on the Board of Elections for many years.

She was a member of Christ United methodist Church, and the former Trinity Methodist Church for more than 70 years. She was a former Sunday school teacher for the youth class.

She was a member of Fellowship Sunday school class, Beta Club, Ruth Circle of the United Methodist Women and Oriental Chapter of the Eastern Star.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin L. Little, who died Jan. 2, 1999. They were married May 30, 1926. Also deceased is a grandson, John Little; a great-granddaughter, Erika Little; a granddaughter-in-law, Linn Little.

She leaves three sons, Weldon (Mable) Little of Newcomerstown, Harry (Joan) Little of Troy, N.Y., and Donald (June) Little of Dover; seven grandchildren, Ron (Karen) Little, Jill Morgan and Todd Little, all of Dover, David (Lynne) Little and Steven (Bayard) Little, all of Troy, N.Y., Christine Little and husband, Mark, of Portland, Maine; Wendy Myers and husband, Stephan of Port Washington; 12 great-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Addy Funeral Home, Newcomerstown.

Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Christ United Methodist Church, Newcomerstown, with the Rev. Stephen Sparling officiating.

Burial will be in South Lawn Cemetery, Coshocton.

Memorial contributions may be made to Christ United Methodist Church Memorial Fund, 648 Oak St., Newcomerstown, OH 43832.

James "Happy" Moore

NEWCOMERSTOWN — James Clemon “Happy” Moore, 72, of Kimbolton, formerly of Cleveland, died Tuesday (Dec. 19, 2000) at Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center, Cambridge.

He was born July 27, 1928, in Charleston, W.Va.

Mr. Moore was a retired truck driver, having worked for Cleveland Freight Lines for several years, he was also a self-employed truck driver.

He and his late wife were former owners and operators of the Wagon Wheel Restaurant, Kimbolton.

He enjoyed music and played many instruments, including the fiddle and piano, having played all of his adult life.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris R. (Pinta) Moore, who died July 14, 1990. They were married in 1963.

He leaves a son, Terry L. Moore of Kimbolton; a daughter, Sandra Fisher of Akron; a close friend and companion, Margaret Grant, Kimbolton; two grandchildren, Austin Clemon Moore and Dustin Lee Moore of Kimbolton.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Ourant Funeral Home, and from noon to 1 p.m. Friday at Flat Ridge Church, Church Hill Road, with services to follow at 1 p.m., with Pastor Nelson Miller officiating.

Burial will be in Flat Ridge Cemetery.

Evelyn Williams

NEW CONCORD — Evelyn E. Williams, 89, of New Concord, died Wednesday (Dec. 20, 2000) at The Beckett House, New Concord.

Arrangements are pending at Mock-Miller Funeral Home, New Concord.

Gilmore Moorehead services

NEW CONCORD — Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Mock-Miller Funeral Home, New Concord, for Gilmore C. Moorehead, 92, of Norwich, who went to be with the Lord, Monday (Dec. 18, 2000) at his home.

The Revs. Ray Yody and Wayne Hogue will officiate. Burial will be in Duncan Falls Cemetery.

Friends may call from 2 t 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

He was born March 24, 1908, in Senecaville, son of the late Ross and Ora Ila (Miles) Moorehead.
Mr. Moorehead worked as a farmer and at Cambridge Steel Mill, Baker Brothers, Zanesville, and retired from Muskingum College, New Concord.

He was a 4-H advisor and M.Y.F. leader for many years. He was a member of Norwich United Methodist Church and Norwich and Pleasant Grove Grange.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Adrain.

He leaves his wife, Aundah (Tumblin) Moorehead, whom he married Nov. 17, 1930; a son, Russell (Eva) Moorehead of Norwich; four grandchildren, Mrs. Harvey (Rebecca) Ritchey, Steven (Colleen) Moorehead, Mrs. Gary (Vonda) Stewart, all of Norwich, Mrs. James (Cynthia) Woolf of Tipton, Ind.; 14 great-grandchildren, Kevin, Kelly, Karey, Kay Ritchey, Brad and Jennifer Moorehead, Caleb, Hannah, Elisabeth, Matthew, Nathan Stewart, all of Norwich, Eric, Ryan, Micah Woolf of Tipton, Ind.; several nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or Genesis Hospice.

Floyd Edgar Denbow services

WOODSFIELD — Services and burial will be 1 p.m. Thursday in the Chapel at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Columbus, for Floyd Edgar Denbow, 94, of Lewisville, who died Monday (Dec. 18, 2000) at his home.

Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Watters Funeral Home, Woodsfield.

He was born Oct. 2, 1906, near Lewisville, son of the late William and Elsie Grace (Gardner) Denbow.

Mr. Denbow retired from Barneby Engineering Co. in Columbus, where he served as a furnace operator.

He was a Methodist by faith.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Agnes (Norman) Denbow, who died April 21, 1988; two brothers, Clayton Denbow and Lawrence Denbow; a sister, Blanche Stimpert; three grandchildren, Mary Denbow, Paul Ferguson and Robert Whatley.

He leaves a son, Floyd F. (Mabel) Denbow of Woodsfield; a daughter, Margaret E. Ferguson of Columbus; four grandchildren, Fred Denbow of LeSage, W.Va., Tom Denbow of Gallipolis, Theresa Fogle and Laura Droese, both of Columbus; 11 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild.
