HARRIET RIGGLE

1904-2000

MINNESOTA — Harriet Zimmerschied Riggle, 96, of Hopkins,
            formerly of Pleasant City, died Monday (Nov. 27, 2000).

            She was born March 22, 1904, in Minneapolis, daughter of the late
            Philip and Emma (Dahlke) Zimmerschied.

            Mrs. Riggle and her last husband had lived in Ohio for several years
            when he had Lutheran parishes in and around Pleasant City and,
            for a short time, Baltic.

            She used her musical talents to help her husband in his many
            pastorates in Minnesota and Ohio.

            She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Pastor
            Arma G. Riggle. They were married June 24, 1924. Also deceased
            are two brothers, Clarence and Robert; a sister, Charlotte; a
            daughter, Lois Ball; and a son, Robert Riggle.

            She leaves three daughters, the Rev. Mary Tappe of Minneapolis,
            Jean Thompson of Norcross, Ga., and Alice Kosloski of
            Manitowoc, Wis.; two sons, Charles M. “Mike” Riggle of Colorado
            Springs, Colo., and John A. Riggle of Minnetonka; 24
            grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren; 10
            great-great-grandchildren.

            Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 7, at Pilgrim Lutheran
            Church, Superior, Wis., with the Rev. David Eckman officiating.
            Mrs. Riggles’ daughter, the Rev. Mary Tappe, and grandson, the
            Rev. John M. Riggle, will officiate the service as well.
            Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.



                              PATRICIA VAN HORN

                                    1955-2000

            BARNESVILLE — Patricia Ann (McConnaughy) Van Horn, 45, of
            Bridgeport, died Thursday (Nov. 30, 2000) at her home.

            She was born March 16, 1955, in Wheeling, W.Va., daughter of
            William and Shirley (Rebic) McConnaughy of Bridgeport.

            She was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Ruby Rebic
            and Virginia Harvath; paternal grandparents, Charles and Elida
            Runyan McConnaughy.

            She leaves her husband, Milton Ray Van Horn; a son, Shawn of
            New York; two daughters, Jamie Schmelter of South Carolina and
            Rebekah Greenwood of Florida; six grandchildren; three sisters,
            Barbara Ballard of California, Kimberly Gray of Ohio and Beverly
            Phillips of West Virginia; seven brothers, William D. McConnaughy
            of California, Terrance McConnaughy, Donald McConnaughy,
            David McConnaughy, Mark McConnaughy and Richard
            McConnaughy, all of Ohio, and John McConnaughy of New Jersey.

            Friends may call from 4 t 8 p.m. Saturday at Bridgeport United
            Methodist Church, where services will be 11 a.m. Monday with the
            Rev. James Hoff officiating.

            Burial will be in Weeks Cemetery, Bridgeport.

            Kelly-Kemp-Braido Funeral Home, Bethesda, is handling the
            arrangements.

                                ELLEN MURRAY

                                    1940-2000

            BETHESDA — Ellen Jane “EJ” (Kemp) Murray, 60, of Bellaire,
            died Thursday (Nov. 30, 2000) at Ohio Valley Medical Center,
            Wheeling, W.Va.

            She was born May 23, 1940, in Bethesda, daughter of the late Ray
            and Inez (Thomas) Kemp.

            Mrs. Murray was a former employee of The Times Leader in
            Martins Ferry and a member of the Church of Christ.

            She leaves her husband, James C. Murray; a step-daughter, Mrs.
            Doug (Jennifer) Kriechbaum of Barnesville; a step-son, James C.
            (Kelly) Murray Jr. of Beallsville; three sisters, Elizabeth Raunikar
            and Ruth Roan, both of Canton, Barbara Kemp of Massillon; four
            step-grandchildren.

            Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at
            Kelly-Kemp-Braido Funeral Home, Bethesda, where services will
            be 1 p.m. Sunday with Minister Tim Snyder officiating.

            Burial will be in Beallsville Cemetery.

            Memorial contributions may be made to Belmont County Animal
            Rescue League, Box 115, St. Clairsville, OH.

                             VIRGINIA H. WALLACE

                                    1915-2000

            CADIZ — Virginia H. Wallace, 85, of Cadiz, died Thursday (Nov.
            30, 2000) at her home.

            She was born Virginia Parshall Harris, June 3, 1915, in New
            Athens, daughter of the late Harry P. and Grace (Goodhue) Harris.

            Mrs. Wallace was a member of Presbyterian Church of Cadiz and
            Harrison County Historical Society. She was a former member of
            Moravian Trail Chapter, DAR.

            She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Arthur
            Wallace, who died in 1992; a son, James A. Wallace; a brother,
            David Harris.

            She leaves a son, Charles B. (Jackie) Wallace of Cadiz; two
            daughters, Mrs. John (Rebecca J.) Milliken of Cadiz, Mrs. Bruce
            (Harriet G.) Knowles of Beaver Falls, Pa.; a daughter-in-law, Jane
            H. Wallace of Ludlow, Vt.; 11 grandchildren; 17
            great-grandchildren.

            A private service will be held at the convenience of the family, with
            the Rev. William Hudson officiating.

            Burial will be in Longview Cemetery, New Athens.

            Memorial contributions may be made to The Window Fund or other
            restoration projects at the Presbyterian Church of Cadiz, 154
            Market St., Cadiz, OH 43907.

                               ROBERT L. KINSON

                                    1919-2000

            BARNESVILLE — Robert L. Kinson, 81, of Barnesville, died
            Wednesday (Nov. 29, 2000) at Barnesville Hospital.

            He was born Feb. 17, 1919, in Byesville, son of the late Walter W.
            and Ollie F. (McGeary) Kinson.

            Mr. Kinson retired from Barnesville Fraternal Order of Eagles,
            where he had served as a bartender.

            He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in World War II.

            He was a member of Friendship Lodge 89 F&AM, American
            Legion Post 168, VFW Post 2792 and FOE 4252.

            He was preceded in death by his companion, Elizabeth Doster;
            three brothers, William P., James D. and Wiley Kinson; two sisters,
            Pauline Stewart and Marjorie Castello.

            He leaves a brother, Ed Kinson of Columbus; a sister, Mary
            Krumlauf of Cleveland; several nieces and nephews.

            Friends may call at noon Saturday at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn
            Funeral Home, Barnesville, with services to follow at 2 p.m. at the
            funeral home

            Burial will be in Crestview Cemetery, Barnesville.
